Viral News: A recent video showing a woman in a salwar kameez taking Halloween candy in Ontario, Canada, has gone viral , sparking a debate over racism and cultural stereotypes.

The footage, believed to be from Halloween night in Markham, Ontario, shows the woman moving from house to house, emptying candy boxes left out for trick-or-treaters.

The video, shared by media personality Harrison Faulkner on X, has garnered over 500,000 views, sparking a wave of reactions, some racially charged.

One user wrote, "Hey, non-Canadians, this is not what we mean by Canada being a 'free' country." Another commented, "Indian stealing children's candy and Halloween decorations. But I thought they were all super rich and high class?"

A third user added, "The lights too, that’s crazy. These people are incompatible with our level of civilization and societal morality."

However, some defended the community, with one user stating, "Not every Indian or Chinese person is doing this. A good portion of both groups are hard-working and follow the rules. Please don’t generalize."

Halloween is celebrated annually on 31st October. Families often leave bowls of candy outside their homes for trick-or-treaters, ensuring that children can enjoy the festivities even if no one is present at home.
