Viral News: An Air India incident has come to light that paints a grim picture of air travel etiquette in Indians.

A viral post shared on X by Manisha Singhal showcases a deplorable state of an Air India cabin, littered with plastic bottles, poly bags, and a general disregard for cleanliness.

This, unfortunately, is becoming a recurring theme, with passengers seemingly oblivious to the concept of personal responsibility and civic sense.

The image speaks volumes about the mindset of a section of our air travelers. It's an alarming reminder of the growing problem of litter and waste management in the country, which is now spilling over into the skies.

The viral post shared by @manishasinghal on social media X comes with a caption that says, ‘Kucch bhi karr lo, hum nahi sudhrenge!!!! And nope, not a domestic flight- this is international,  Air India flight - naya yaa puraana aircraft - sabko ek saa pyaar dete hain hum! This is the
@airindia Dreamliner to Singapore — rather a nightmare! When . Will . We . Be . Civil’

While airlines do bear some responsibility for maintaining cabin hygiene, the onus of keeping the shared space clean primarily lies with the passengers.

This incident has also sparked outrage and disgust among netizens. Many have questioned the behavior of these passengers, calling for stricter penalties for such acts.

The question that begs to be asked is, when will this behavior change? Will it take more viral shaming, hefty fines, or even a ban on air travel for these individuals to realize the impact of their actions?

It's high time we as a nation had a serious conversation about cleanliness and public behavior. This is not just about Air India or the aviation industry; it's about our collective responsibility towards our environment and fellow citizens.

One user says, ‘I wonder if these people will tolerate this in their house. What changes in a plane or road. Downright immoral!’ Another user says, ‘Had the same exp on dreamliner DEL to SIN. Nothing changed I guess. Even their joysticks weren't working. Broken instead. Before that, had boarded the dreamliner from BOM to AMD, back in 2019. The Ek Onkar livery, which was changed to, because the other DREAMLINER wouldn't start.’

We need to instill a sense of pride and ownership in our public spaces, starting from our homes and extending to airplanes, trains, and public places.

Only when we collectively decide to change our behavior can we hope to see a cleaner and more respectful India. Until then, we are doomed to witness such disgraceful displays, one flight after another.
