Man Arrested for Driving Thar on Railway Track in Jaipur While Shooting Social Media Reel

Jaipur: A man was arrested in Jaipur, Rajasthan , on Monday for driving his Mahindra Thar SUV onto a railway track while filming a social media reel. The individual, reportedly under the influence of alcohol, attempted to use the railway tracks as a backdrop for his video. However, his car got stuck as he tried to move it after spotting an approaching goods train.

"The loco pilot was able to stop the train in time, so no one was hurt in the incident," authorities confirmed. In a video that has gone viral on social media, the man can be seen trying to remove his vehicle from the tracks with the help of onlookers and police officers.

The viral video was posted with a caption that reads, “This vehicle should be seized with immediate effect, it takes the lives of many people while performing stunts.” And also tagged official X handles of Railway Authorities. 

Some bystanders assisted the man in moving his car, which he then quickly reversed for about 20-30 meters to get it back onto the road. However, as he tried to flee the scene, he reportedly hit three people with the vehicle. The police immediately pursued him, apprehended him, and seized the car.

This incident highlights the increasing trend of people filming videos on railway tracks, a dangerous act that has claimed several lives across India. Authorities have long warned against such reckless behavior, urging the public to prioritize safety over social media fame.
