Viral News: As India celebrates its 78th Independence Day, a social media post is grabbing the attention of netizens. The post that has surfaced on social media showcases an old handwritten English translation of the national anthem ‘Jana Gana Mana’ by Indian noble laurate Rabindra Nath Tagore.

The post shared by @NobelPrize on social media X shares a beautifully written hand note that is a translation of the Indian national anthem ‘jana Gana Mana’.

The viral post also comes with an interesting caption that says, ‘"Jana Gana Mana" is the national anthem of India, originally composed in Bengali by poet Rabindranath Tagore, who was awarded the Nobel Prize in Literature in 1913. Pictured: An English translation of Jana Gana Mana by Tagore’

The Indian National Anthem has a wholesome and rich history behind it. The national anthem was first sung at the Calcutta session of the Indian National Congress on December 27, 1911. "Jana Gana Mana" was officially adopted as the Indian national anthem by the Constituent Assembly on January 24, 1950.
