Video: Couple Jumps From 90-Feet Rail Bridge During Photo Shoot in Rajasthan's Pali

Jaipur/Viral Video: A young couple is recovering in critical condition after jumping from a 90-foot bridge in Pali, Rajasthan. The incident occurred on Saturday afternoon while they were having a photo shoot on the tracks.

Close Call on the Rail Bridge in Rajasthan's Pali

The couple, identified as Rahul Mewada (22) and Jahnvi (20), were visiting Gormghat when they decided to take pictures on the heritage bridge designed for meter gauge trains. 

Their photoshoot took a dangerous turn when a train approached the bridge. Panicked, they jumped off the bridge to avoid the train, sustaining serious injuries.

Rajasthan Couple Jumps off the Bridge

Both Rahul and Jahnvi were rushed to the hospital after the incident. While they are no longer in immediate danger, their condition remains critical.  

Due to severe spinal injuries, Rahul was transferred to Jodhpur for further treatment. Jahnvi is being treated for a fractured leg at Bangar Hospital in Pali.

A video of the incident has reportedly been circulating online, showing the couple jumping from the bridge as the train approaches. 

Shocking video shared by Sachin Gupta on social media X comes with a caption that says, ‘A major accident happened in Pali district of Rajasthan. Rahul Mevada was getting a photo shoot done with his wife Jahnavi on the heritage bridge. Just then a train came. To save themselves from the train, both of them jumped into a 90 feet deep ditch. Both are undergoing treatment.’

This shocking video, incident highlights the importance of prioritizing safety over capturing risky photos. Railway tracks and bridges are not intended for public use, and trains can approach silently at high speeds.
