New Delhi: As the world prepares to witness the competitive battle between Republican candidate Donald Trump and Democratic candidate Kamala Harris on 5th November, a special yagna was held by spiritual leader Mahamandaleshwar Swami Vedmutinand Saraswati, the head of the Baglamukhi Peeth, for Donald Trump 's victory in Delhi's Shahdara.
The Maha Yagna was conducted in Dilshad Garden, Shahdara district, praying for a larger victory than in 2016 for the Republican candidate in the U.S. presidential elections.
While speaking to a leading media outlet, Vedmutinand Saraswati said, "...At the Baglamukhi Peeth in Dilshad Garden, India’s saints, sages, and Vedic scholars performed a ritual ceremony for Donald Trump’s victory. We prayed to Goddess Baglamukhi to bless Donald Trump with a larger victory than in 2016 so that he emerges as the superpower leader the world needs today. The world currently stands on the brink of conflict, as seen with attacks in Israel and the oppression of Hindus in Bangladesh . No global leader has spoken up on these issues except Donald Trump, who has shown deep concern and vowed to take strict action against the oppression of Hindus in Bangladesh ..."
Another clip went viral on the internet, capturing priests chanting, “Vote for Donald Trump, Make World Great Again.”
A user reacted to the clip by writing, "It's interesting to see spiritual leaders engaging in political events from different countries. Mahamandaleshwar Swami Vedmutinand Saraswati's rituals for Donald Trump's victory highlight the intersection of spirituality and politics, reflecting the global nature of political dynamics. Such actions can draw attention to the influence of cultural and religious figures in international affairs. What are your thoughts on this kind of support?"
Another wrote, "The majority of Indians who are interested in foreign affairs support Trump. India-US relations will be tighter when Trump is in office."
Recently, with his Diwali message, Trump vowed to protect Hindu Americans against "anti-religion agendas" and fight for their freedom.
"I strongly condemn the barbaric violence against Hindus, Christians, and other minorities who are being attacked and looted by mobs in Bangladesh, which remains in a state of chaos. It would have never happened on my watch," Trump posted on X.
He criticized his Democratic opponent Kamala Harris and current U.S. President Joe Biden for ignoring Hindus both in America and globally.
