If you are a foodie you have surely heard of Virgilio Martínez and his fine-dining restaurant named Central which is located in Lima, the capital of Peru. He always puts some of the rare ingredients and creates a vibrant dish to serve in the menu. He gets the ingredients from remote locations across the country.

But only some people are lucky enough to get a table and experience the cuisines by Virgilio Martinez. But if you were a guest who attended the grand wedding of Anant Ambani and Radhika Merchant, there was no need for you to fly to Peru and taste the cooking of Martinez. Mukesh Ambani made sure that everything should be the best in his son’s wedding and called world’s top chefs and his team to Mumbai. Not only Martinez flew to Mumbai with his team but also cooked the entire veg menu for this Gujju wedding.

Moreover Martinez’s restaurant Central was named the World’s best restaurant in 2023 by the prestigious World’s 50 Best List. In all of the dishes at Central you will witness and experience Peruvian culture and the inspiration comes from the natural landscape. It includes Octopus Amazonian fish, coca leaves, river snails, sweet lemon crab and squid.

There are 8 dishes on the menu which includes are “Zucchini & Asparagus Tiradito, Purple Amarnath,” “Avocado Emulsion & Peruvian corn,” “Cashew roll, Mountain Chimichurri, Fresh Cheese,” “Dates & Lentil Triangles, Pistachio Tigers Milk,” “Extreme Altitude Seeds, Smoked Tomato,” “Amazonian Cassava Textures, Coconut Milk” and “Burnt Cauliflower, Strawberry, Aji Limo, Saffron.”

The post has gone viral with more than 4 lakh views on it and has 3,700 likes. Moreover, it has over 400 comments in which the users shows their take on it.

One of the users wrote, “I just want to know what is Pistachio Tigers milk.”

Another one said, “Disgusting

Flying in a chef that doesn't cater to Indian or international food tastes.

- Peruvians don't have a cuisine presentable to world! It's all raw, primitive and bland tribal Mayan foods, e.g. raw fish Ceviche !”

A third one wrote, “The family is a perfect GUJJU. Head is a Gujju with Baniya brain. His family craves for food which every gujju does. Not high end. Nita Madam loves food from Swati Snacks and MotaBhai craves for a dosa from a joint in Matunga. Both places are famous but are at a low price point.”

“Paneer ki Sabzi + Tandoori Roti + 2 Pyaz + Nimbu >>>>>>>>>>,” another user wrote his preferences.

“I thought for a second "Purple Amarnath" is quite a name for a dish. Then I came back to my senses.”

Naturally, among the many elite chefs who catered the well-publicized nuptials that will go down in history as one of the most costly, was Martínez. Former British Prime Minister Boris Johnson, reality TV stars Khloe and Kim Kardashian, wrestler John Cena, Bollywood A-listers Salman Khan, Amitabh Bachchan, Priyanka Chopra, and Shah Rukh Khan were among the VIPs in attendance.
