Baloch protesters march to Islamabad over extrajudicial killing in Pak met with police brutality
A long march led by Baloch women protesting against enforced disappearances and extra-judicial killings in Baluchistan was met with police brutality right when they reached Islamabad.

Police not only blocked the entry points of Pakistan's federal capital but also used water cannons and tear gases to prevent the protestors from reaching the National Press Club.

The march started on December 6 in Turbat, days after the “extra-judicial killing” of a Baloch youth by the Counter-Terrorism Department officials.

During the crackdown, the police also arrested Mahrang Baloch who led the march towards the country's capital. "remember fascist state, we will defeat you," Baloch wrote on X.

The protestors also accused Pakistani security agencies of a string of abductions of Baloch men, an allegation vehemently denied by the authorities.
