Actress Radikaa Sarathkumar narrates her story as she escapes Colombo's Cinnamon Grand Hotel minutes before it was bombed

World woke up to a shocking news of Sri Lanka being attacked on Sunday, April 21. And one day after a series of eight bomb blasts hit Sri Lanka on Sunday, another explosion in Colombo, the capital of the country, was reported on Monday.

Even as the Sri Lankan government imposed an emergency in light of the attack, international media reports informed that a van had exploded near an unnamed Church. The reports added that the blast occurred when the bomb-defusing unit was trying to defuse an explosive in a van.

Tamil actress Radikaa Sarathkumar barely escaped the blasts on Sunday as she was staying in one of the three hotels that were bombed.

"OMG bomb blasts in SL, God be with all. I just left Cinnamon Grand hotel and it has been bombed. Can't believe this. Shocking," she tweeted.

Actor Ramya Subramanian was quick to respond to the actress and wrote : "Pl be safe Mam ! It’s really scary hearing something like that ...Come back in good shape and safely ..Lots of love to you ❤️." [sic]

For those unaware, Radikaa is the founder and CP of the Radaan Mediaworks India Limited which has produced serials such as Chitti, Annamalai, and more. She appeared in 'Singam 3' (Tamil) movie. 

Meanwhile, condemning the attack, a lot of Bollywood celebrities took to their Twitter handle to express their grief for the victims and their families. 'Neerja' actress Sonam Kapoor wrote: "It breaks my heart to see what is happening to so many innocent people. Sri Lanka, our prayers are with you." [sic]

John Abraham wrote: "Heart wrenching. Deeply saddened, my heart goes out to all the people in Srilanka. Cowardly act. #Colombo #srilanka" [sic]

The bomb blasts on Sunday hit three churches- St Anthony's Church in Colombo, St Sebastian's Church in the western coastal town of Negombo and another church in the eastern town of Batticaloa, three hotels - the Shangri La, the Cinnamon Grand, and the Kingsbury and two other places -  Dematagoda and Dehiwala on Sunday killing over 200 people and injuring several hundred more.
