Apple TV Plus: All you need to know-Subscription, Device compatibility

Apple previously announced Apple TV+ Plus services across the world back in March 2019. Users will be able to access Apple TV+ across the world, including India. Apple is releasing TV+ service in over 100 countries, and it is an obvious thing that the Apple TV+ streaming services may take on the likes of other premium subscription streaming applications like Netflix, Amazon Prime Video etc.

Compatibility

It brings famous movies, shows and original TV programs to the consumers. It should be noted that Android phone users will not be able to get access to Apple TV+. The TV can be operated by an iPhone.

How much it cost?

The Apple TV+ service will be available on the Apple TV application on iPhone, iPad, Apple TV, iPod touch, Mac and other platforms. It will also be available on tv.apple.com at monthly subscription charge of ₹ 99 with a seven-day free trial. The consumers who will purchase an iPhone, iPad, Apple TV, iPod touch or Mac will get one year of Apple TV+ for free. This offer has started from November 1, 2019.

What to watch on Apple TV+?

There are a lot of shows which will be streaming on Apple TV+. Here are some of the shows that Apple TV+ will launch with - The Morning Show, Dickinson, For All Mankind, Helpsters, Snoopy in Space, Ghostwriter, The Elephant Queen, Oprah Winfrey. Other shows like the Servant, Truth Be Told, Little America, The Banker, and Hala will be streaming on Apple TV+ in the days to come. The fans are also expecting some original content for Apple users.

Competition with other brands

The question now is that will Apple TV+ be as successful as Netflix and Amazon Prime Video (in India) that offer several Indian original shows to reach more and more users?
In India, Netflix offers four plans at ₹ 199 only, which is a monthly plan that is limited to smartphone and tablet users only and also it supports only one screen at a time. The other three plans that Netflix offers are a basic plan that costs ₹ 499 per month, a standard plan that costs ₹ 649 per month and a premium plan that costs ₹ 799 per month.
