The Armenian Defence Ministry has released footage on Friday claiming to show casualties among Azerbaijanian soldiers and destroyed equipment near the city of Lachin.
The ministry claims that Armenian troops have destroyed Azerbaijanian units that were preparing for the attack, inflicting heavy losses in manpower and military equipment.
Nagorno-Karabakh cities of Shushi and Stepanakert have been under heavy artillery shelling during the night causing damage and killing three civilians, according to the official information.
Meanwhile, the Azerbaijani Defense Ministry has reported attacks by the Armenian armed forces on the city of Tartar and several settlements in the Tartar and Goranboy districts.
Nagorno-Karabakh lies within Azerbaijan but has been under the control of ethnic Armenian forces backed by Armenia since a war there ended in 1994.
The latest outburst of hostilities began September 27 and has left hundreds dead, marking the worst escalation of fighting since the war's end.
