Big Blunder: Canada police turn on cat filter during live briefing in a double-murder case

British Columbia's Royal Canadian Mounted Police (BCRCMP) courted embarrassment after they live-streamed a press conference on Facebook with the 'cat filter' on during a press conference on Saturday.

Sergeant Janelle Shoihet was addressing the briefing when the cat filter was switched on accidentally. This came as a major embarrassment as Sergeant Shoihet was seen with cat ears and whiskers. The unexpected blunder happened during the Sergeant's briefing on a double-homicide case. Here's a picture tweeted out by a journalist who was streaming the live briefing:

However, the BCRCMP noticed the goof up and posted about being in the process of addressing it at the earliest:

Sergeant Janelle Shoihet later recorded the press conference again, but without the cat filter. She even apologized for the 'technical glitch'. The Canadian case is not the first one to mess up.
