Former US President Bill Clinton, who was embroiled in a sex scandal during his tenure, could face another storm. According to multiple reports, he will be identified as "John Doe 36" in the documents linked to late sex-offender Jeffrey Epstein that will be declassified after January 1. All those in the documents have been referred to as Jane and John Does. Notably, 180 names to be made public were previously redacted from court documents.

A US District court, in late December 2023, ordered the declassification of documents related to Epstein and her lover Ghislaine Maxwell.

In 2015, Maxwell was sued by one Virginia Giuffre who accused the former of facilitating her sexual abuse in the early 2000s when she was a minor (17). She also accused Epstein of forcing her to form sexual relations with several prominent personalities including Prince Andrew. While Andrew denied the allegations, he was also sued by Giuffre but the case was settled in 2022.

Notably, Epstein who was accused of being a sex trafficker and a pedophile died by suicide on August 10, 2019 in a Manhattan jail while awaiting his trial. Maxwell, however, claims he was murdered.

Maxwell's London home, Epstein's Manhattan mansion and his private island in the US Virgin Islands were the hotspots of his activities.

As for Clinton (77), his name is said to have occurred more than 50 times in the documents. It is worth noting that, however, that Giuffre never accused Clinton of any wrongdoing as she did with Andrew, ABC News reported.

Epstein's former lover also admitted that Clinton never visited Epstein's private island which was also called Little St. James. Considering this fact, Clinton's testimony will not be helpful to Giuffre, the former President's lawyer told ABC News.

According to a redacted section of a court filing, Maxwell called questioning Clinton "utter nonsense" while accusing Giuffre of trying to seek media exposure. Now 40 years old and settled in Australia, Giuffre is estimated to have been paid $16.3 million in settlement from Andrew.
