China on Wednesday claimed remarks from the director of the FBI that the country is "the greatest threat to America" are "full of political lies" FBI director Christopher Wray had said China was aiming to become the world's "sole superpower" and conducting ongoing sophisticated political and economic espionage campaigns in the United States.
"Wray's remarks ignore basic facts and are full of political lies. It fully exposed his deep-rooted Cold War thinking and ideological prejudice," said Zhao Lijian , a spokesperson for the Ministry of Foreign Affairs at a regular press conference on Wednesday.
Zhao also defended the World Health Organization and lashed out at Washington's decision to withdraw from the UN body.

Former Vice President Joe Biden, the presumptive Democratic presidential nominee, said he would reverse the decision on his first day in office if elected.
