Apart from the protests against climate change and school strikes, initiated by Swedish activist Greta Thunberg, around the world, people have started creating memes to raise awareness among youngsters. Several social media accounts have mushroomed that share memes on the issue of climate change. There have been questions whether it is a valid form of protest but the message of ‘climate change is real’ has been able to make its way. The climemechange, with more than 46,000 followers, share hilarious memes which directly or indirectly propagating the concern around climate change. When Greta Thunberg gave US President Donald Trump what netizens called ‘death stare’ at the United Nations headquarters, social media exploded with memes. Climemechange instantly shared a meme with caption “Caring deeply for the well being of humanity doesn't mean you have to actually *like people*”. However, later, Thunberg told a news conference that Trudeau is "not doing enough" to curb greenhouse gases responsible for global warming.
