Monique further added that her father always involved in cheap pranks, mostly at the expense of other people. The funny eulogy has left people saying that they wished they had known the "prankster" before he passed away. When the doctors told his daughters that Joseph is a very sick man, they responded by saying "you have no idea". The Connecticut family wrote that Heller left them a house that was filled with a lot of bird seeds, plants that were dead and they were clueless about what to do with the stuff he left behind. According to Heller's family, this "belittling and an irrelevant" gesture was made on the day he died. Talking about his emotional side, his family said that he had a soft corner for dogs and would always look for suitable foster homes so that the strays could also have someone to love them. The obituary also stated that living a life with Joseph never had a dull moment. It further stated that the "prankster" allowed his daughters to do his hair and would also test the boys his daughters bought home. His family said that the seed of playing pranks was sown in him right from his childhood. Being the eldest amongst his five siblings, Joseph troubled them with pranks that were unpleasant with his brother often helping him out. During his childhood, he did not even spare his parents as he named his first dog 'Fart' so that they had to shout out his name in case he was not in the house. He also gave thieves stealing food, cakes that had an extra addition of laxatives that are typically used to treat constipation.
