Washington D.C.: Donald Trump has announced that he will be sitting down for a "major interview" with tech billionaire Elon Musk on the evening of August 12. The announcement was made via Trump's official Truth Social account, where he hinted at the high-profile nature of the conversation, “On Monday night, I'll be doing a major interview with Elon Musk—details to follow!”

Elon Musk, the CEO of Tesla and SpaceX, has yet to comment publicly about the upcoming interview on his social media platform, X. This interview marks a notable moment, considering Musk's recent influence in the social media sphere.

It was only after Musk’s acquisition of X (formerly Twitter) that Trump’s account was reinstated, following a permanent ban during the final days of his presidency.

The timing of this interview is particularly intriguing given the recent scrutiny faced by Trump’s political action committee (PAC). Michigan and North Carolina election officials have recently launched an investigation into the PAC, which is known for its support of Trump’s 2024 presidential bid.

The investigation centres around allegations that the PAC may have mishandled or misused voter data, raising concerns about electoral integrity. This probe has been a topic of controversy, especially in light of Musk's reported creation of a PAC that supports Trump's candidacy.

As the interview date approaches, speculation is rife about the potential topics of discussion. Given the current political climate and ongoing investigations, it is likely that issues related to electoral integrity, social media influence, and Trump's 2024 campaign strategy may be at the forefront of the conversation.
