Prior to this, Musk also shared another post on his social media platform, X (formerly Twitter), announcing his plans to attend the event. In his post, he wrote, "I will be there to support!" and shared a promotional poster for the rally. This marks another demonstration of Musk's ongoing commitment to backing Trump’s campaign as the election season intensifies.

Musk began backing him after the July 13 assassination attempt. Musk has also shown his commitment through substantial financial backing, spending $119 million on his pro-Trump political action committee, America PAC, during this election cycle.
At a live stream on X’s Spaces feature, Musk shared his excitement about attending Trump’s election night party at Mar-a-Lago, saying, "I’ll be there with President Trump and JD and a bunch of other cool people. They have a great sense of humor."
Musk’s political involvement has raised concerns, particularly regarding the influence of X on the 2024 election. With over 200 million followers, Musk’s posts are highly amplified, and critics worry that he may be using his platform to favor Trump’s campaign. Reports suggest X has been promoting pro-Trump content more than pro-Harris posts, further fueling concerns about bias and misinformation.
On the platform he has asserted, without any evidence, that Trump's campaign is heading for a 'crushing victory' over Harris.
