Ethiopians celebrate Easter amid lockdown

Ethiopians celebrated Orthodox Easter on Sunday despite worshippers being stopped from joining festive Mass amid coronavirus pandemic.

At Holy Trinity Orthodox Tewahedo Cadral in Addis Ababa, only a handful were able to attend prayers with ceremony instead broadcast live.

In typical years, cadral would be filled with thousands of churchgoers for Easter Mass.As of Sunday Ethiopia has reported 108 cases of COVID-19 and three deaths.
