Merkel pledges 600 million Euros to vaccine alliance
The German German Chancellor on Friday said that Germany will contribute €600m to the GAVI vaccine alliance over the next five years.

The money is to be used to finance vaccinations in developing countries.
The Summit is expected to gather leaders from over 50 countries and hopes to raise £6b in funding for vaccines from governments worldwide.
The global pandemic has killed more than 386,000 worldwide according to Johns Hopkins University, in a tally derived from data provided by governments.
The pandemic has further crippled economies and forced restrictions on the movement of millions of people in an effort to stop the virus from spreading further and overwhelming health care systems.
