Gaza Conflict: Israel shares 'precision strike' video hours before Palestine and Israel reach a truce agreement

Bringing the bloodshed at standstill, Palestine and Israel reached a ceasefire agreement over the escalation of violence in the Gaza strip and Southern Israel.

The skirmish between the two sides resulted in the deaths of 25 Palestinians and 4 Israeli civilians. 

An Israeli military spokeswoman declined to comment on the deal, but there appeared to have been no rocket fire or Israeli strikes in the hours after it was due to take effect, an AFP correspondent in Gaza said.

The Israeli side also lifted restrictions on the civilian movement around the Gaza

The two sides called truce with the mediation of Egypt, who brokered the agreement to curb hostilities from 4:30 AM (local time) an official from the strip's Islamist rulers Hamas and another from its allied group Islamic Jihad said on condition of anonymity.

An Egyptian authority confirmed the deal to AP on the condition of anonymity. 

The confrontation between the two conflicted states- Palestine militants and Israel came after a serious flare-up in violence since the 2014 war. 

The flare-up came as Hamas sought further steps from Israel toward easing its blockade under a previous ceasefire brokered by Egypt and the United Nations.

Israel at the same time faced pressure to restore calm and put an end to the rockets hitting communities in the country's south.

It commemorates its Memorial and Independence Days later this week and is due to host the Eurovision song contest in Tel Aviv from May 14-18, which is expected to draw thousands to Israel. On the Gazan side, the Muslim holy month of Ramadan began Monday.

Palestinian officials in Gaza accused Israel of not taking steps to ease its blockade as promised under previous ceasefire deals.

Israel Defence Forces through their social media shared that in the last 48 hours 690 rockets were fired from Gaza at Israeli civilians and that they targeted 350 "Islamic Jihad and Hamas" 

In the process, Israel accused Iran of financially helping "Hamas and Islamic Jihad" 

While, US President Donald Trump taking an explicitly Orientalist stand against the "terrorist acts" said that Israel has Washington's full support.  

"We call on the international community to act swiftly in order to ease tensions that have increased due to Israel's disproportionate actions in the region," a Turkish Foreign Ministry statement said.

That truce saw Israel allow Qatar to provide millions of dollars in aid to Gaza, paying salaries and financing fuel purchases to ease severe electricity shortages.

The escalation followed a gradual uptick in violence that threatened a previous ceasefire, including Friday clashes along the Gaza border that were the most violent in weeks.

A day before Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyaho had ordered "massive strikes" on the Gaza Strip. 

Israeli military snipers shot over 6,000 Palestinian demonstrators in Gaza last year alone.

Since Hamas siezed control along Gaza, Israel and Egypt has had a debilitated blockade. Israel and Palestine history dates back to 1948 when the state of Israel was established.
