As Texas gears up for the big event 'Howdy Modi', the buzz around it is quite real. Apart from the Indian-American diaspora in Texas, the excitement on social media has also been stirred up. The event is said to be one of the biggest community events to be attended by Prime Minister Narendra Modi. United States President Donald Trump is also scheduled to attend the event where PM Modi is set to address thousands of attendees. Here's a look at the excitement and buzz surrounding the event.

The Texas India Forum, a not-for-profit organization, confirmed that they expect 50,000 people to attend the mega event billed as "Howdy, Modi!", using the full capacity of the stadium in concert configuration. Over 650 community organizations have signed up as "welcome partners" for the programme. The event will include a cultural programme and an address by Modi. Well-known Indian community leader in Houston Jugal Malani has been named the convenor of the "Howdy, Modi!" organizing committee. "We are excited to hold this summit at the renowned NRG stadium. This will be the largest ever gathering of Indian Americans and friends of India, with a diverse representation from the region and across the country," Malani said.
