Washington: A Halloween night in Longview, Washington, turned tragic when a domestic dispute between a couple escalated into violence, resulting in both of them fatally injuring each other. Their 11-year-old son, who had been playing video games in another room with earbuds on, called 911 as soon as he discovered their bodies.
The shocking incident took place on October 31, 2024, in Longview, a town located around 50 miles north of Portland, Oregon. The victims were identified as Juan Antonio Alvarado Saenz, 38, and Cecilia Robles Ochoa, 39. According to the authorities, the couple had been facing relationship issues for some time and had planned to separate, which might have contributed to the violence.
The young boy, unaware of the argument taking place in the house, was focused on his game. He only became aware of the tragedy when he found his parents’ bodies in the kitchen. In a state of shock, he quickly called 911 for help. Emergency responders rushed to the scene but were unable to save the couple, who had both suffered fatal injuries.
Alvarado Saenz died from several stab wounds to the chest, while Robles Ochoa had both stab and gunshot wounds. Investigators found a knife and a gun at the scene, and further examination revealed that the firearm had been stolen from Alvarado Saenz’s employer. The gun had not been reported missing until after the incident.
Though detectives are still piecing together the details of what happened, they believe the couple’s troubled relationship and plans to separate may have led to the violent confrontation. At this point, the police have not been able to determine who initiated the attack.
