A hotel manager of the Imperial Hotel in Ireland has responded to a customer complaint about the lack of daylight entering their room by pleasantly informing that darkness is a common occurrence at night in Ireland. His witty response to the Danish tourist has gone viral after the guest's short stay at the Imperial Hotel in Cork City, Ireland ended with a very critical review.
The reviewer took to Tripadvisor to complain about the dirty carpets and said that the windows did not allow for any daylight in their room. This is just because of the fact that the tourists arrived at 11 pm and left the hotel at 8 am in early October. The hotel manager pointed out that it is generally nighttime in Ireland.
The user took to Tripadvisor for reviews
Ole K, the user of the hotel took to Tripadvisor that he stayed in room 104 and paid €150 exclusive breakfast. The windows were blinded and there was no daylight. He added that there was no separate shower cabin and there was only a bath top with restricted access. He also found dirt marks on carpets and the floor in the restaurant all over greasy. He ended up saying that it seemed to be a very untidy hotel. He added that the reception guy tried the tried him without acknowledging the facts and complained about not being informed of the problems before his arrival.
Brilliant reply from the manager
Bastien Peyraud, the general manager of the Imperial Hotel decided to revert back to the complaint in a brilliant manner. He thanked him and gently replied to him for taking the time to review their hotel as he promised their front office manager when he refused to refund their stay. The manager replied that he did a check-in at 11 pm and check out at 8 am, which is the only reason they did not get much daylight into their room despite the two large windows as it is very common in Ireland during the night time.
