The film was a sure shot blockbuster in Karnataka even before the release, but the way it quashed the competition, in this case, Shah Rukh Khan's 'Zero' spoke volumes about its potential. The Prashant Neel directorial has since been marching at the box office, breaking record after record and now it has added a new one. The Yash starrer had already become the highest grossing film in Sandalwood but with this historic feat, it became the second film after 'Baahubali 2' to cross 100 crore mark in the state. Surprisingly, the number of screens have even increased over the days since its release, with the action flick finding audiences in many new countries, the latest one being Singapore. Coming to the Hindi belt, the film had earned more than Rs 32 crore in the first two weeks since its release. He also revealed that it was SS Rajamouli's two-part magnum opus 'Baahubali' that inspired them to release 'KGF' in over five languages. Initially, the makers were planning for only Kannada audiences with English subtitles. However, seeing how well the Prabhas starrer did, especially in Hindi, they decided to dub it in multiple languages.
