Kim Jong Un 'nuke' beauty mask trends among South Koreans

Leading up to the historic event of North Korean dictator's visit to Seoul, South Koreans, in a frenzy are emptying shelves of the 'Kim Jong Un moisturising face masks.'

Fondled with wit, these 'nuke masks' named as the 'unification moisture nuclear marks', comprises of Kim Jong Un smiling ear to ear, wearing a white sheet mask on the package. 

The packs that are styled with propaganda slogans, costing around 250 rupees per pack, include - "All hail moisture for all women of the North and South!"

A country that is known for its love for beauty products, put these sheet masks in the market in June. Since then, over 25,000 of them have been brought in South Korea. 

The ingredients claim to encompass moisturising mineral water from the Paektu Mountains, a holy volcano resting on the border of North Korea and China, where leaders of both the country's Kim of North Korea and Moon Jae of South Korea posed at the conclusion of a three-day summit in September. 

South Koreans in masses have eschewed Kim's otherwise autocratic image by instead calling him 'cute' or 'hilarious' on digital platforms. This comes as a surprise, considering the fact that it is illegal to favor the North Korean government in South Korea ever since 1948, pertaining to the enduring feud between the bordering nations since 1953.

The law proscribes "praising, inciting or propagating the activities of an anti-government organisation". 

2018 proved to be epoch-making for both the nations, with the fading animosity as the leaders of the country met three times this year. Twice in a joint security area between both the countries and once in Pyongyang.
