Marvel to relaunch Thor, Iron Man, and Guardians of the Galaxy comics
March announced the 2020 re-launch of three new comic book series Thor, Iron Man and The Guardians of the Galaxy at the ongoing 2019 New York Comic-Con
Marvels fans are expecting a lot of surprises in 2020 in the aftermath of the three new comic books series re-launched at the ongoing New York Comic-Con. As reported by foreign media sources, 'Marvel Comics: Next Big Thing' panel, touted as the largest pop culture event, recently announced the relaunch of the comics for some of its most famed characters such as Thor, Iron Man and the Guardians of the Galaxy. Reportedly, it will be slightly different from the previous volumes in the newly announced comics. The re-launch of these comic characters was unexpected to many of the Marvel fans.
The developments in Re-Launch
The new series of Thor will see Asgard once again fighting new threats coming his way. The big name in writing at Marvel, Donny Cates and the Deadpool artist Nic Klein will be launching Thor again after the conclusion of Jason Aaron's storyline of Thor in the final issue of King Thor end of the year 2019. There are a lot of expectations from the Venom writer to take forward the superhit series Thor. It is obvious that with this new responsibility, Cates will step down from the current post as the writer Guardians of the Galaxy which will also see a relaunch.
For Guardians of the Galaxy, the makers have roped in Al Ewing, the writer of the much-acclaimed 'Immortal Hulk' and Spider-Man artist Juan Cabal. The plot will have the return of the Guardians from their retirement to keep the galaxy secure from a threat. The threat will be the Gods of Olympus taking a rebirth with a new aim of bringing warfare to the cosmos. Both Thor and Guardians of the Galaxy will see new versions with new creative teams and a new plot.
Ironman in contrast to the other two will see the writers Dan Stott and Christos Gage continue penning down the character from their Tony Stark: Iron Man series. The re-launch of Ironman will see a continuation of the plot of an artificial intelligence uprising. The cases here will, however, be new instead. Pete Woods has joined the project as an artist and there will be a new character named Arno Stark, who is Tony's adoptive brother. Marvel is likely to re-launch the series by 2020 end.
