With an impressive academic background, Usha Vance holds a bachelor's degree in History from Yale University and a Master of Philosophy degree from the University of Cambridge, according to a leading daily. 

After four years of intense extracurricular activity at Yale, she continued her studies as a Gates fellow at Cambridge, where she engaged with left-wing and liberal groups. She was a registered Democrat in 2014.

After her husband, JD Vance became the running mate for Donald Trump, Usha Vance resigned from her law firm. 

In a statement, Munger, Tolles & Olson said, "Usha has informed us that she has decided to leave the firm. Usha has been an excellent lawyer and colleague, and we thank her for her years of work and wish her the best in her future career.”

Usha and JD Vance first met at Yale Law School and were married in Kentucky in 2014, with a Hindu priest presiding over a separate ceremony, according to a leading news daily. The couple has three children together.

JD Vance Is Donald Trump's Pick For His Running Mate

Former President Donald Trump chose Sen. JD Vance of Ohio as his running mate on Monday.

“After lengthy deliberation and thought, and considering the tremendous talents of many others, I have decided that the person best suited to assume the position of Vice President of the United States is Senator J.D. Vance of the Great State of Ohio,” Trump said in a post on his Truth Social network as the Republican National Convention got underway in Milwaukee.
