Iran on Thursday announced more polling stations will be opened across the country for the presidential election.
Abbas Ali Kadkhodaei, spokesman for Iran's Guardian Council told reporters in Tehran that around 67,000 polling stations were being prepared for Friday's vote.
The Guardian Council is responsible for vetting the candidates and overseeing the election process.
Iranians will vote Friday on who should be the country's next president amid tensions with the West over its tattered nuclear deal with world powers.
The elections will see Iranians choose a successor to President Hassan Rouhani after eight years in office.
While the race is wide open due to Rouhani being term limited from running again, authorities have barred his allies and nearly every reformist from entering the race.
