Moment: Pro surfer spots woman struggling in rough waves, saves her life

Professional surfer Mikey Wright turned life guard as he helped save a women's life in Hawaii on New Years Eve.The Australian spotted a women struggling against a strong current as onlookers began to panic. Wright then sprung into action, declaring that the swimmer was "going to need to get saved" before diving into the sea.

As Wright reached the women, the pair are submerged several times before finally making it to shore.The 24-year-old posted the videos on his personal Instagram page with the caption: "Hold my beer.'' Mikey was in Hawaii for the Pipeline Masters surfing event.
