A terrifying storm in the shape of a nuclear bomb mushroom cloud was seen hovering over the US state of Oklahoma. In the visuals shared on the social media platform, one can see a massive bright orange-hued cloud on Sunday.
The cloud ballooned outward from the centre, just like the aftermath of a nuclear explosion. Taking to X, formerly known as Twitter, WeatherNation wrote, "Stunning storm structure seen from Norman, OK yesterday! This same cell produced larger than baseball size hail in Seminole county!" With the tweet, the weather agency has also shared a video of the phenomenon over the city skyline.

A mushroom-shaped cloud reminds a scene from Oppenheimer
According to the US weather forecaster, the storm produced hailstones larger than baseballs in nearby Seminole County. The videos of the billowing orange clouds have also been posted by Residents of Bowlegs which were reminiscent of Christopher Nolan’s recent historical epic Oppenheimer, reported The Independent.
Another video has been uploaded by the Fowler Family Farm south of Norman on YouTube, reported UK-based Metro. The people of Oklahoma from various areas also captured the scenic beauty, which they shared on platform X.

The National Weather Service (NWS) station in Norman has declared that the city was the ‘prime location’ for a severe storm moving to the southern part of the state on September 24. It also reported that the hailstones measuring more than two inches in diameter struck the region on Saturday night. Pictures and video footage showed huge hailstones damaging property in Texas.
Horrible hail damage to this car dealership in Round Rock, TX just north of Austin last night. Rounds of severe warned storms impacted the area, and there were reports of softball-sized hail in some areas.#TXwx pic.twitter.com/TG1QiKGH5i
