Film producer Jaka Bizilj, who is organising a flight to bring stricken Russian opposition activist Alexei Navalny to Germany for medical treatment, told the Associated Press on Thursday night that a plane would leave Germany for Russia at midnight.
Navalny has allegedly been poisoned and is in a coma.
If he is in any condition to be transported, the plane would return to Germany first thing on Friday.
Bizilj said the costs of the flight and the treatment were paid for by private citizens and that Berlin's Charité Hospital would treat Navalny.
Charité could not immediately be reached to confirm they had agreed to accept Navalny as a patient.
