Jerusalem: Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said on Sunday that he and U.S. President-elect Donald Trump "see eye to eye on the Iranian threat".“In the last few days I spoke three times with President-elect Donald Trump. These were very good and important conversations. Talks designed to further tighten the strong alliance between Israel and the USA. We see eye to eye (on) the Iranian threat, on all its components, and the danger posed by it.”Netanyahu said he had spoken with Trump three times in recent days, adding the talks were "very good and important"."We see eye to eye (on) the Iranian threat, on all its components, and the danger posed by it," he added.Trump will ascend to the highest office in the country as a brutal war in Gaza still rages and Israel presses its offensive against the Lebanese Hezbollah militant group.A conflagration between Iran and Israel shows no signs of abating — nor do Israel’s conflicts with Iranian proxies in Iraq and Yemen — and Iran’s nuclear programme remains a top concern for Israel.Netanyahu separately said that his Dutch counterpart, Dick Schoof, expressed being "ashamed" after fans of Maccabi Tel Aviv soccer team were attacked in Amsterdam."I demanded that the perpetrators will be judged severely," Netanyahu added.Police launched a large-scale investigation after gangs of youths conducted what Amsterdam's mayor called "hit and run" attacks on fans that were apparently inspired by calls on social media to target Jewish people.Five people were treated at hospitals and more than 60 suspects were arrested.Amsterdam prosecutors said that four of the suspects, including two minors, remained jailed Saturday and would be arraigned next week.The prosecutors said in a statement that they expect more arrests as investigators comb through video images of the violence.With AP Inputs
