Pakistan had organised a state lunch on Tuesday to welcome Crown Prince Mohammed Bin Salman-al Saud.
During the lunch, Pakistan President Arif Alvi, the Saudi Crown Prince and Pakistan PM Imran Khan were seated on the dias.
The President was supposed to deliver a speech ahead of the lunch. But in an embarrassing moment, Pakistan PM Imran Khan begins eating before the speech. To add to the faux pas, the President begins his address sitting down and has to be reminded by PM Khan to stand up. He says "Khade ho jayiye" to the President, only after which he stands to deliver the speech. One can notice the Saudi Crown Prince's expression during the entire incident.
In what appears to be setback for Pakistan the Saudi Crown Prince MBS assured of cooperation to India to counter terrorism.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Saudi Arabia's Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman addressed a joint press briefing after signing five bilateral ties in New Delhi.
The Saudi Crown Prince assured to provide complete support to India on its fight against terrorism in Pakistan, by extending cooperation in sharing intelligence.
"Extremism and terrorism are our common concerns. We would like to tell our friend India that we'll cooperate on all fronts, be it intelligence sharing. We'll work with everyone to ensure a brighter future for our upcoming generations," Saudi Crown Prince Salman said during the joint press briefing.
