From sodomy to cocaine, Pakistani actress makes explosive allegations against ex-PM Imran Khan

Islamabad: Pakistani model and actress Hajra Khan Panezai stirred a storm with her new book in which she made shocking allegations against former Prime Minister of Pakistan Imran Khan. In her latest book, titled ‘Where the Opium Grows: Surviving Pakistan as a Woman, an Actress and Knowing Imran Khan,’ Panezai made several allegations against the Chairman of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI), including his inclination towards sodomy. According to Pakistani news outlet Geo News, Hajra called the cricketer-turned-politician a ‘liar and a wicked person’. The highly controversial book touted to have secrets about the former Prime Minister’s personal life was launched on Friday in Islamabad. 

One of the most shocking claims Hajra made against Khan was the fact that the PTI chief had indulged in Sodomy. “I recalled how once a woman (she was probably a widow then) said that Imran was having sex (and she was the eyewitness) with a she-dog (Labrador) and how I had snubbed her,” Hajra wrote in the book, according to the excerpts obtained by Republic. “Animal sex in Pakistani society and that too by a person as esteemed and eminent as Imran Khan, It was impossible to believe her then,” she furthered. 

While launching the book on Friday, the actress from Balochistan alleged that the PTI chief used to consume cocaine. During the launch event, Hajra made it clear that she “stands by” every word published in her autobiography. When asked about how she got linked to the former premier, Hajra recalled how she met Khan after her father joined PTI. During the press conference following the launch event, Hajra also claimed that she had to leave Pakistan in her pursuit to get the book published, Geo News reported.

‘A different side of Imran’

In the book, the Balochistan actress said that she had realised as early as 2014 that the person who was considered a “hero and a messiah” was an extremely different person in his private life. In her book, the Pakistani actress claimed that Khan impregnated a 21-year-old girl and during the launch event, she doubled down on the same claim, calling it “200% true”, Geo News reported. During the event, Hajra mentioned that Khan was the first one to receive the draft of the book in 2014. However, she struggled to get permission to publish the book since then.

Further speaking about the PTI chief, Hajra remarked that the former Pakistani Prime Minister “sold his religion” for his good. “We viewed a person as a messiah and we used to quarrel over him, but now I have to seek forgiveness from my friends," the actress averred. “He [Imran Khan] had to use a bicycle to go to the office, a bicycle which nobody has seen so far,” she added. At the launch event, the actress made it clear that she was not looking to secure any political office through this book and no political figure was behind the publication of her autobiography.
