Twitter users from Pakistan, on Saturday, trolled Pakistan Prime Minister Imran Khan for the difference in reception that was accorded to the Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Khan while they were on their respective trips to the United States for the UNGA session to be held in the UN building in New York.

Trolls make comparison with India

The trolls started coming up after it was seen that while PM Modi was received by Director of Trade and International Affairs, Christopher Olson, US Ambassador to India, Kenneth Juster, and other officials at the airport, Khan, who arrived in the US in Saudi Crown Prince Muhammad Bin Salman's aircraft, was just received by Pakistan's UN Ambassador Maleeha Lodhi.

A Twitter user pointed out the comparison between the two videos where the reception of the two prime ministers is evident. He drew comparisons between the two videos.

Another user pointed out how Indian PM being received this way was because India has been developing itself while Pakistan stands stagnant.

Earlier in the day, Modi, when he arrived in Houston for the Howdy Modi event that is to be held by the Texas India Forum on September 22 where PM Modi will address about 50.000 Indian-Americans, left netizens impressed with his gesture when he promptly picked up flowers from the ground which fell from the bouquet given to him during the welcome ceremony at the airport.

Modi and Khan are both scheduled to address the UN General Assembly on Friday. While Khan's address is expected to revolve around India's move on Kashmir, it has been cleared by New Delhi that Prime Minister Modi will focus on his country's contribution on development, peace, and security fronts as a responsible member of the global body.
