Pakistan's politician Abdul Rehman Malik's official Twitter account has been suspended by the micro-blogging site. The move was taken as he was peddling fake videos on Kashmir. Malik was formerly a minister in former PM Asif Ali Zardari's cabinet. He is now a member of Senate in the country.

Rehman Malik's fake news propagation on Twitter about Kashmir:

Malik had spread false information on Twitter saying that Indian Forces were using 'gunship helicopter' against Kashmiris. His malicious intent to cause unrest in the valley was thwarted due to Jammu and Kashmir Police's swift action. The J&K Police wrote to Twitter about the matter. Since then, it appears that Malik's Twitter account has been suspended.

Rehman Malik bats for P Chidambaram

Typical to Pakistani administration, Malik's interference in India's internal matters did not stop with spreading fake news about Kashmir. On Friday, following P Chidambaram's arrest by the CBI after the Delhi High Court denied him bail, Malik batted for his release. Condemning his arrest to the Pakistani media, Rehman Malik termed Chidambaram's arrest as "shocking". Dragging the issue of Kashmir over the abrogation of Article 370 and 35 A by the Centre, Pakistan Senator Rehman Malik went on to claim that Chidambaram was arrested as "he had raised voice against PM Narendra Modi’s unilateral decision to revoke Articles 370 and 35A".
