A Kentucky state trooper, Aaron Hampton, has been praised as a 'gentleman' after a photo of him holding a woman's baby so she could enjoy a meal went viral. The incident occurred in a Mexican restaurant in Munfordville on September 29 when a local mother Tabatha Corbitt walked in with her family. Suddenly, Corbitt's 3-month-old son Zerak started weeping and began to fuss which forced the mom to stand and eat her food.

Tabatha: Wanted to capture the moment so that I could share with my son

Seeing the baby fussing, Aaron Hampton along with other troopers got up from his restaurant table and walked up to the mother and asked if he could hold the baby so she could enjoy her meal. The mother was quite iffy at first and said that her son does not do well with strangers. She stood while holding her son and they chatted for a moment and then handed over her son to the trooper. She said her son fussed but then began smiling and cooing. She then sat down and ate while the trooper stood close with her son. The moment became sweeter when the 3-month-old baby named Zerak started smiling at the officer. Corbitt was accompanied by her 8-year-old son, 10-year-old daughter, and her mother. She decided to take a quick snapshot of the sweet moment. She said she wanted to capture the moment so that she could share with her son when he gets older. She added that her mother posted the photo on social media.

The officer said he felt like offering help to the mother

The officer said he felt like offering his support to the mother since he also has a young son and well understands the challenges of eating in public with a baby. In return to show gratitude to the kind gesture, Corbitt quietly paid for Hampton's meal before leaving the restaurant. Corbitt said the gesture meant the world to her.
