Many of the world leaders announce greater efforts in cutting the greenhouse gas emissions that fuel global warming, and most used the event to call for greater cooperation and more immediate action.

Heads of state and government from over 70 countries on Saturday joined a virtual gathering to celebrate the fifth anniversary of the Paris agreement, the international pact aimed at curbing global warming.
Many of the world leaders announce greater efforts in cutting the greenhouse gas emissions that fuel global warming, and most used the event to call for greater cooperation and more immediate action.
The gathering was also attended by a number of businessleaders, including Apple's Tim Cook, and leaders of cities from around the world, like Los Angeles mayor Eric Garcetti.
