It was just a few years ago that optical illusion had left the netizens divided over the black-blue dress/the white-gold dress. Since then, many such cases of optical illusion have similarly led to mixed responses from the Internet. The latest to do so is a video where that has left people confused if it is a rabbit or a raven.
Rabbit vs raven
The video shared by Dan Quintana on Twitter has already gone viral with over 46 thousand likes, 12 thousand retweets and 1000 comments. In the video, as one would perceive it, the creature is either stroked on the nose or the back of the head.
Quintana captioned the post, “Rabbits love getting stroked on their nose.”

While one could agree with him, it is the ears that create the confusion as it also looks like a bird’s beak and the portion below it as the feathers on its neck.
Confused netizens
Netizens were confused. One wrote, “That's not a bunny lol.”
One felt it was ‘clearly a bird’ because ‘The "ears" are hard and unmoving. Also in the wrong place.’ Another person, who was convinced it was a raven, wrote, “First of all, there isn’t a nose there and secondly - a bunny’s ears are not lined up perfectly, one after the other. Of course it’s a crow, and those ears aren’t fluffy anyway!”
One of those who thought it was a rabbit, said, “You know what. The rabbit looks like a crow. The ears are the beak.” Another wrote, “As an accomplished Lepidorist I can affirm that this is obviously a rare Nictating Rabbit.” Many were convinced it was a rabbit. One more Twitter user wrote, “Stop saying it’s a crow, you’re gonna cause that poor lil rabbit an identity crisis !”
Some could not figure it out and felt the only way to figure it out was if they’d see the whole body. Another tweeted, “Seriously what am I looking at? I can’t handle this kind of mental pressure right now.”
Even Quintana shared a meme about his overnight popularity, courtesy the video, he tweeted, "This counts as "impact" for the grant application I'm writing now, yeah?"
