Yossoufou posted another photo of him unboxing the new phone which had a personalized letter saying, “Dear Olufemi, we can't have you out her viewing the world through a cracked screen or a cracked cover. The new camera you're gonna love for sure”. He told an international media house that he was very excited when he found out that the talk show legend was coming to campus. He further added that when she was leaving, Yossoufou and one of his friends ran to her car they told her to roll down the window and explained Winfrey a project that the two students were working on. The two kids' letters requested Winfrey to take a video with her and this is when she noticed that the phone Yossouffou was using had a cracked screen.

Yossoufou also said that the gift from Winfrey has taken a lot of pressure off his parent's shoulders. His mom was so happy that when Yossoufou decided to give his mom the phone, his mother replied saying that 'no that's a phone from Oprah, you got to keep it'. Yossoufou, in the end, added that he hopes to get a chance to work with Oprah on her project he's working on with fellow students called “Adopt A House”.
