A US bakery chain recently fired one of its employees, who shared a now-viral Tik Tok video showing off how a mac and cheese is cooked up at the restaurant. A video shared on the app, TikTok clearly showed zero efforts put by the employees to serve the chain's signature dish.
Pre-cooked dish wrapped in plastic sheets
The video showed how the employee heats up the pre-cooked dish wrapped in plastic sheets, and serves it on the platter for consumption. The employee was fired soon after the video went viral, and even ended up on the local news channel. The employee later revealed her fate on Twitter.

The video is claimed to have left many loyal diners of the chain feeling disappointed and shocked about the pre-packaged food. However, the food chain hasn’t issued any statement or reaction in response to the viral video or the firing of the employee. As a matter of fact, most of the fast-food chains have been caught preparing food in a similar manner. As long as the restaurants are clean, the practices behind the scenes aren't typically a secret.
Apparently, this is how Panera Bread prepares the mac and cheese. (via TikTok) pic.twitter.com/jUv47TYBhm

Seeing this puts an end to me going to Panera. I barely did anyhow, but now that I know everything is packaged I'm done.
This is why Americans are fat, unhealthy and dying of cancer and heart disease. Too much meat, dairy and processed foods.
Once I accidentally swallowed a piece of plastic from @panerabread Mac and cheese and it got lodged in my throat.
