Bizarre! Horse bites rival jockey in an attempt to win race in France

A video of a horse biting its rival jockey Francois-Xavier Bertras in Maisons-Laffitte, France in an attempt to finish the race went viral on the internet.

A video of a horse biting its rival jockey in France in an attempt to finish the race went viral on the internet. The video showed the horse, named Palomba, trying to close in on her opponent horseman when they were struggling neck to neck to reach the finish line. It was an intense competition between the two rival jockeys during a horse race at Maisons-Laffitte Racecourse, France which resulted in a very bizarre incident. The incident happened during the middle of the race which left the audience shocked.

Palomba bites Francois

In the video, the horse can be seen turning her head and biting the right arm of the rival jockey Francois-Xavier Bertras, who was about to reach the finish line aboard Lucky Lycra. Bertras, luckily unharmed, completed the race first despite facing the challenge on the ground. According to sources, Bertras said it was a pretty amazing and strange moment when the horse came alongside full force and hit her head in his arms. He repeatedly said it was an awesome and quite amazing moment.

Bertras maintained consistent lead

He said Palomba tried to bite him through his arms thrice and it was very funny to see her. Bertras, after being interfered in his path by Palomba, continued to pull ahead aboard his three-year-old filly Lucky Lycra. He maintained the consistent lead throughout his race. According to sources, Francois and Palomba ran for over one mile and six furlongs. He pretty conveniently won the race without any injuries. He and his three-year-old filly were quite surprised and didn't understand what to do and what exactly had happened. He added he and his horse were both as shocked as others.
