BIZZARE: Man arrested for dropping a dead rat in food at a restaurant in China, says, 'got a bit greedy'

In order to get a free meal, a man in China dropped a dead rat in his hot pot, thus accusing the management of serving unhygienic food. 

Accompanied by his wife, just 20 minutes into the meal, the man claimed that he had found a dead rat in his meal. The food chain initially offered a free meal which he refused.

Now, stuck in a situation, the hotel agreed to pay 20,00 yuan, which is approximately Rs 2 Lakh, but then Mr Guo turned the offer down too and demanded 5 million yuan, which is approximately Rs 5 crore.

After being put in a spot, the manager of the food establishment contacted the local police. Upon investigation, it was found that the man had brought the rat with himself with the intention of extorting money from the restaurant. However, what is bizarre is that the man had found the dead rat in his hometown, and then carried it all the way to Beijing in a bottle. 

The man also confessed saying that all he wanted was a free meal, but then he later got a 'bit greedy'.

The incident took place in a popular restaurant in China named Haidilao.
