Brazil Law Firm hires Stray Cat to address complaints against it
A law firm hired a stray cat roaming around its area as a lawyer to put an end to complaints by people who were angry about the cat hanging out in workspace
A law firm hired a stray cat roaming around its area as a lawyer to put an end to complaints. The cat used to roam around the area of Order of Attorneys of Brazil. Soon they were complaints by people who were angry about the cat hanging out there saying that there was no place to have a pet over there. In response to the objections raised, the OAB offered a solution to those complaints by hiring the cat as one of the employees. The cat, named Dr Leon, has an employee card of its own and it welcomes those visiting the building of the firm. Leon has become famous on social media after his tale was shared by Dr Jeanette Laredo a few days ago on Facebook.
Viral Facebook post
As reported by foreign media, Leon entered the building as a kitten in the month of February. It was then fed and protected in a box for a while. The viral Facebook post narrated the story of the cat. According to the post, the kitten sought shelter from the storm during heavy rains and went inside the OAB and decided to stay. The post also said that it was unfortunate that people complained about the cat hanging around the reception desk. So to avoid some new complaints the firm provided a solution by hiring the cat as an employee. The post also said that now it's official that this little cat is responsible for welcoming the newcomers to the office.
The post was later edited to add that the cat had been promoted to a lawyer
