A couple heading off on holiday was stopped at airport by security after they accidentally packed their pet cat into their hand luggage. Nick and Voirrey Coole were shocked to find their pet cat named Candy who had managed to sneak into their suitcase while they were packing for a 40th birthday trip to New York. The couple was called into a side room for further interrogations after finding a suspicious discovery. Meanwhile, the airport staff organized for the curious cat to be picked up and taken home so the couple could get their flight.
Candy always looked for bags
Nick, who belongs to the Isle of Man, said that Candy always looked for bags, boxes, and tight spaces to hide in. Nick said the couple did not pack much in their hand baggage so that they could bring shopping home. But Candy somehow managed to sneak into the bag and came all the way to the airport. The airport security staff were puzzled and repeatedly asked about the bag after it had been through the scanner.
Staff at the Isle of Man airport were helpful
When they were taken to the side room, Nick said his wife guessed it could have been one of the three cats that had secretly decided to join them - and she was absolutely right. The couple said staff at the Isle of Man airport were awesome and laughed with them once they realized it was an honest mistake. Fortunately, Candy was later picked up by friends and the couple still managed to catch their flight to the US in time. Nick also shared the photos of Candy's trip to the airport on his Facebook page, which has been shared by hundreds of people.
