A New Jersey grocery store is now selling cow dung cakes for just Rs.215 and instantly triggered hilarious reactions from the netizens. The news became viral as an internet user tweeted a photo of the cow dung cake packet stating that a store in Edison is seeling cow dung at $2.99 only. However, this is not the first time that a 'desi product' has made it to the western market. Earlier this year Amazon was also selling natural coconut shells for approximately Rs.1400.
My cousin sent me this. Available at a grocery store in Edison, New Jersey. $2.99 only.

My question: Are these imported from desi cows or are they from Yankee cows? pic.twitter.com/uJm8ffoKX2
Netizens reactions
As soon as the tweet was shared online, netizens started commenting hilariously. On Twitter user commented while replying to whether the cow dung cakes are imported from “desi cows” or “Yankee cows”, “It is imported from either of them, it does not matter! But this is not something you deserve! Its good customers are Bhakt!”. Another internet user commented, “Religious or not, this is good fuel for conventional Punjabi cooking”.
Better to market them as “Cow Dung Cookies” in the US. https://t.co/1o4ZNWVv8I

It does not guarantee the “cakes” are made from Cow-Dung from cows native to India.

Cow dung is a useful material and helps us in a variety of ways. It's also a plentiful and renewable resource. The manure is used as a rich fertilizer, efficient fuel and biogas producer, a raw material for papermaking, and as an insect repellent. The manure also plays an essential role in the lives of various animals, plants, and microbes. Interestingly, people in Gomatapura, South India annually celebrate the festival of Goraihabba where people indulge in throwing and playfully fighting with cow dung after they collect it from cattle farmers.
