The representation of inclusion
Recently, the magazine featured the girl with Down's syndrome. She was featured holding a small American Girl Down's syndrome doll. The young Ivy looks beautiful in her red sparkling dress which is similar to the one her doll wears. Kirsten Kimble, the mother of Envy, highly acknowledged the efforts of the company and told international media that after featuring a girl of Down’s syndrome as a model, the market will open up for more inclusions and greater representation for everyone. This will give those differently-abled an opportunity to feel equal to everyone. She further said that she is the mother of four girls and it's every mother's dream that one of the features in the American Girl catalogue.
