Funny ramp walk by a male model steals the limelight at the PFW

Leon Dame, a 20-year-old German male model stole the attention of everyone at Paris Fashion Week with his intense and dramatic walk. He closed the show for Maison Margiela on September 25 at the Grand Palais where he was seen black boots and a black jacket. The editor-in-chief of Vogue, Anna Wintour who is known for her aloof demeanor was also seen smiling at how the angry-looking model stomped down the runway. The video which has gone viral has now become a popular meme and has been spreading like wildfire.

A planned walk

This walk was carefully planned. Dame reportedly told an international news outlet that he already had something in his mind. He worked it out during the rehearsals with Pat Boguslawski, the movement director and a famed photographer the night before the show. John Galliano who is a British fashion designer, detected an attitude in Dame when he started showing menswear last year, before transitioning into a genderless philosophy for Maison Margiela.

A popular meme

Internet users can not stop laughing at the walk at the Paris Fashion Week as it has now become a popular meme and also spreading like a wildfire. Boguslowski told an international media that he loves the fact that people are laughing as he claims that they did this all for fun. One of the Instagram users posted the video with a caption “How I think I walk in public with my headphones on vs how I actually walk”. Another netizen also commented “When you at Walmart and you determined to make it across the store to the restroom before it’s too late and you have the death stare going on so that no one even thinks about breaking your stride and pace as you really quietly praying that your fierce walk is going to control matters until you reach your destination.”
