Ghost Aventures' Bagans fell ill after investigating 'Conjuring House'

American paranormal investigator Zak Bagans revealed that a recent investigation for a documentary in a real-life 'Conjuring House' made him physically ill.

American paranormal investigator Zak Bagans revealed that a recent investigation in a 300-year-old Rhode Island home made him physically ill. Bagans, the founder of Travel Channel highest-rated series Ghost Adventures, started investigating the house for documentary purpose when it affected him.

Didn't recover for almost three weeks

Zak Bagans, along with some of his team members, spent time in Harrisville farmhouse in Rhode Island. The house belonged to the Perron family whose experiences inspired the horror film The Conjuring. Speaking to an American weekly magazine, Bagans said that the investigation took a toll on him and he didn’t recover from it for about three weeks. He said that his body was not functioning in the right way as it affected his balance.

'Black mass blocking the light'

The 42-year-old investigator was intrigued by the house because of its history and called it the “ultimate place” to go. He said that it was a thrilling experience to be able to get inside the house, reopen files and learn mysterious things about it. Bagans believes that the house is haunted by something “very ancient”. He claimed that his team captured a black mass blocking the light and windows of the house while using infrared binoculars.

Bagans is worried about the family who currently owns the house saying he understands the thrill to buy such house but they should understand they could potentially be dealing with. According to media reports, Cory and Jennifer Heinzen bought the house, built in 1736, and have planned to turn it into a tourist attraction.

Haunted history

The Conjuring film is based on some real events that were experienced by the Perron family. The family claimed that they saw things move around the house and items went missing altogether. They later discovered that eight generations of another family lived in the house who faced strange drownings, murders and suicides. The documentary shot in the house by Bangans and his team is out on October 31.
